Spuren Privacy Policy

Effective Date: July 1, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how AurumSpire LLC (“we”, “our”, or “us”) handles information in the Spuren mobile application (“Spuren” or “the App”). Spuren is a private keepsake for the people who matter to you. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Data Collection and Processing

Spuren stores the people, traces, letters, photos, and audio that you choose to create. It has no accounts and no login, and we do not run servers that receive, read, or store the content you keep in Spuren. What you record about the people in your life stays yours.

2. Local Data Storage and iCloud Sync

Everything you create is stored on your device. If iCloud Sync is turned on — it is on by default, and you can change it any time in Settings → iCloud Sync — your people, traces, letters, and attached photos and audio also sync privately across your own Apple devices through Apple’s iCloud, using a private CloudKit database tied to your Apple ID.

This data lives in your own iCloud and is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. It is not sent to AurumSpire, and we cannot see it. Turn iCloud Sync off to keep everything only on the device you are using.

3. On-Device Apple Intelligence

On supported iPhones, Spuren offers optional writing and reflection help powered by Apple Intelligence. These features run entirely on your device using Apple’s on-device foundation models. The text you write and anything they consider is processed on your iPhone and is never sent to AurumSpire or to any external or cloud AI service. You can turn all of these features off in Settings → Apple Intelligence.

4. Data Transmission

The only information that leaves your device in connection with Spuren is: (a) your own private iCloud sync, handled by Apple, if you leave it on; (b) App Store purchase and subscription information handled by Apple and RevenueCat, described below; and (c) anything you choose to send us yourself, for example by emailing support. We do not transmit your content to any analytics, advertising, or external processing service.

5. Subscription Management (RevenueCat)

Spuren offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions (“Spuren Premium”). All payments are securely processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements and subscription status. RevenueCat processes App Store transaction receipts and anonymous identifiers to validate purchases and determine which features you can access.

RevenueCat does not receive the people, traces, letters, or media you keep in Spuren. It may receive information such as the product you purchased, purchase and renewal dates, country or region, and an anonymous app-specific identifier, handled under its own privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy. We never receive your full payment card details.

6. Purchases and Payments

All purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not process or store your payment card information. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings.

7. User Control

You can edit or delete any person, trace, or letter directly in the App, and you can save a readable copy of everything you have kept from Settings → Privacy & Security → Export your traces. Deleting Spuren from your device removes the copy stored on that device; a copy synced to iCloud is managed through your Apple ID and iCloud settings. Because we keep no copy of your content, we cannot restore it for you.

8. No Analytics or Ads

We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or cross-app tracking. We do not sell or share your content. Information handled by Apple and RevenueCat for billing is used only to operate paid features, never for advertising or behavioral tracking.

9. Security

Your data is protected by iOS security features, including on-device encryption and app sandboxing, and by the privacy of your personal iCloud account. Spuren also offers an optional lock — turn on Require Face ID / passcode in Settings → Privacy & Security. We recommend using a device passcode and keeping your operating system and the App up to date.

10. Information About Others

Spuren is built around the people in your life, so what you keep may include information about others. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to record, and you should treat it the way you would a private journal or a letter you never send. This information stays private on your device and in your own iCloud, as described above.

11. Children’s Privacy

Spuren is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, for example through a support email, please contact us so we can delete it.

12. Your Rights

AurumSpire LLC is the controller of the limited personal data described in this policy. Because Spuren keeps your content on your device and in your own iCloud rather than on our servers, you already hold and control most of it directly — you can view, edit, export, and delete it in the App at any time.

Depending on where you live — for example, under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. The only data we can act on for you is the App Store purchase and subscription information handled by Apple and RevenueCat, and anything you have sent us directly. To make a request, email us at support@aurumspire.com; we will respond as required by applicable law.

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the Effective Date above and may provide an in-app notice. Your continued use of the App after an updated policy becomes effective constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
